I know many people will look at this page and check out our goats because we have loads of color. We actually have generations and generations of colored genetics, but I will say this over and over again color is not the most important thing to us. A good well-balanced animal, with a wide frame, good bone, well-muscled, and a quick weight gain is our goal and mission. Color is just an added bonus.
OUR HISTORY
Where It All Began
Tadita Colored Boer Goats is a dream I have had since I was a little girl. I always hoped I would have a working farm and thanks to the help and support of my wonderful husband, Jeff, I have gotten my dream. We have a small herd of around 30 breeding-age does and a couple of bucks. All of our goats are ABGA Registered Fullbloods. We live in a beautiful area of Illinois on 14 acres. Our goats are raised out on pasture but they do get grain at certain stages of their lives. We take excellent care of our animals. They always have free-choice hay and free-choice organic minerals. We like to raise our animals as naturally as possible, using many natural products for deworming and herbs and minerals for good immune support. We also use chemical dewormers and medications when necessary. We are very proud to say we have a clean herd, we test for CAE, CL, and Johnes. Go to our mission page to learn more.
